As founder of London Electronic Orchestra, Kate Simko has fused her background as a classical pianist and film composer with her signature electronic music productions.  An inimitable blend of lush strings weaving in-and-out of synths and loose grooved beats, LEO brings classical music’s ornate instruments to the forefront.  In 2014, Kate completed a masters degree in Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music, where she formed the LEO.  Since then the group has created a buzz with appearances including the National Gallery in London, iTunes festival at the Roundhouse, MIDEM, Latitude Festival, Bestival, (le) Poisson Rouge in New York, HEART Ibiza, Wonderfruit Festival in Thailand, and London’s Royal Albert Hall.

"Fresh, exciting, contemporary yet, of course, classical - it is something which could no doubt be translated into concert halls across the country and the world. It is a project that has the power to bring together typically disparate audiences; the world of club-goers and those who love classical music."
